Ira Shorr

Ira Shorr joined the PSR staff in October, 2002 when the Back from the Brink Campaign, of which he was Executive Director, merged into PSR.  Ira has led national disarmament and organizing campaigns for over 20 years and has served as Program Director of Sane/Freeze.  He also lends substantial media experience to PSR, as a former radio talk show host in Florida, Media Director and Senior Producer for the Center for Defense Information.

    On the 65th anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing, the Sacramento Annual August Peace Event and Physicians for Social Responsibility-Sacramento screened "Countdown To Zero," a film that traces the history of the atomic bomb from its origins to the present state of global affairs.
