Climate Change -- Absent from presidential debates

Posted by Jacqueline Ackerman on February 2, 2016

Climate change is an important topic, so why does it seem to be taking a back seat in the presidential primaries and debates? It was briefly mentioned in a recent Iowa town hall meeting by the Democrat hopefuls, but has been noticeably absent in the debates of the Republicans. As Americans, we should all be concerned about climate change. Such a prominent topic is not being given the significance it deserves. Let's remember, climate change poses many threats to human health and well-being.

See for example:

Declining Water Quality, Increasing Waterborne Disease

Heat-Related Illnesses

Greater Threat from Vector-borne Disease
