Wait a Minute
February 10, 2017
Wait a minute, who wrote this editorial in the Dallas Morning News?
It says – no, really, it says this: "Scott Pruitt is a poor choice for chief of the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Senate — and especially its two Texas senators — should vote against his nomination…"
Shoot, that sounds like me! Except that I didn't say anything about Texas's senators.
Or how about this: "Texas' two senators, John Cornyn and Ted Cruz, owe it to their home state to at last fully accept what science has long made clear: that humans have contributed mightily to climate change, and therefore it is up to humans to do what we can to slow its advance."
Wow, again! If they had just left out that reference to Cornyn and Cruz, I would have sworn they were quoting me.
The editorial goes on to say, "…Pruitt has spent his career as Oklahoma attorney general seeking to undermine rules designed to keep clean the air Oklahomans breathe and the water they drink.
"That hardly makes him the right leader," they conclude, to head the EPA.
Well. Who knew? Sounds like it's time for me to rethink my notion of Dallas.
