Motor vehicles (buses, cars, trucks, etc.) are responsible for a significant amount of our air pollution as well.
While reducing the amount of time spent operating a motor vehicle(e.g. by combining multiple small trips into a single trip, carpooling, 
telecommuting, etc.) is one of the most effective ways to reduce this type of pollution, there are other ways as well. One is to drive an energy efficient car or even look into hybrid technology. Another is to support businesses that use Low Emission technology.
