PSR board member Dr. Todd Sack speaks at the Jacksonville League of Women Voters' Annual Meeting.
Todd Sack is a gastroenterologist with the Borland-Groover Clinic; his special interests are colon cancer screening, inflammatory bowel disease, and liver problems. He is an expert in energy policy and environmental sustainability.
He is a graduate of Yale College, was Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of California School of Medicine in San Francisco, and is a Guest Lecturer, University of North Florida School of Public Health. He is past President of the Duval County Medical Society, is Past President of the We Care Jacksonville free clinics, and is currently President of the Duval County Medical Society Foundation. He is also past Chairman of the Jacksonville Environmental Protection Board, was a member of the Florida Energy Commission where he chaired the Legislature’s Climate Change Advisory Group, is a member of a JEA advisory committee, and edits an environmental sustainability website for the Florida Medical Association and World Medical Association, www.My GreenDoctor.org. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Physicians for Social Responsibility, recipient of the 1985 Nobel Peace Prize.
