Over 200 activists and caring citizens from across the state of Florida held a rally in the state capital of Tallahassee and met with legislators to educate them about the environmental, economic and health harm from fracking. PSR Florida was well represented.

Speaking is Senator (R) Dana Young, from Tampa who introduced a SB 442 to ban
fracking. She drew bi-partisan support, and has passed its first Senate committee

with the Mayor of the city, Camille Hernandez (in the middle) and Brooke
Errett, organizer for Food & Water Watch. The Dade City Mayor and City
Council voted unanimously to support a ban fracking ordinance last year
and this year are urging their citizens to support SB 442 and HB 451 to
Ban Fracking in Florida. The Dade City Garden Club members were in
attendance and were instrumental in getting the ordinance passed!
