Getting to Know Coal

This project continues Iowa PSR's efforts to develop strategies for retiring coal-fired boilers in Iowa. For several years, Iowa PSR has been actively involved in research, education, outreach and advocacy efforts to stop new coal plants from coming into Iowa and eventually to shuttering existing coal facilities. Addressing the health costs of coal, I-PSR has worked in conjunction with local environmental advocacy groups like Sierra Club, Iowa Environmental Council, and Green States Solutions as well as social justice legal advocates like Plains Justice.
