Oregon PSR expresses our sincere appreciation to everyone who made it out for the September 17th coal export hearing in Longview! On October 9th, you will have another chance to appeal directly to the agencies charged with reviewing the proposed Millennium Bulk Terminals in Longview, WA.
WHEN: Wednesday, October 9th, public testimony from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, rally at 4:00 PM, then more public testimony from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
WHERE: Clark County Fairgrounds (17402 NE Delfel Road in Ridgefield, WA)
RSVP now to attend this hearing in Ridgefield on the proposed coal terminal at Longview to voice your opposition and concerns. Please join us in calling for a comprehensive Health Impact Assessment as part of the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) process.
At the hearing you may choose to give oral testimony (2 minute maximum), submit written comments, or simply wear red to show your opposition to coal export in our region. If you can’t be there, comments can be submitted online.
NOTE: Look for Oregon PSR representatives at the Power Past Coal hospitality suite near the hearing room, and remember to bring a “brown bag” dinner if you plan to testify between 5:00 and 8:00 PM.
To meet up for ride shares, cars will be leaving at noon (for the 1:00 to 4:00 session) and again at 4:00 PM (for the 5:00 to 8:00 session) from 1821 SE Ankeny Street in Portland.
