Coal ash is toxic. Tell President Obama that protection from coal ash contamination has to be robust, mandatory and nationwide.
It’s been 37 years since Congress passed the Toxics Substances Control Act, and it just isn’t working to protect public health. In fact, it has allowed nearly 80,000 chemicals to enter the marketplace without basic testing for health and safety.
It’s time for Congress to act. That’s why Oregon PSR has joined the Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families Coalition and, along with concerned parents from across the country, the nationwide Stroller Brigade to send a message.
The Stroller Brigade brought together concerned families from across the country and political spectrum, because protecting our families from toxic chemicals is something everyone can rally around. You can help ensure that every senator knows that this movement extends far and wide - phone calls, emails, tweets, and messages will come at them from all corners. Please take action now to let Congress know that you support reforming toxic chemicals policy.
