Tell President Obama to cancel the Vogtle Loan Guarantee! We don’t want or need new nuclear reactors and we don’t think that taxpayers should be on the hook to support a mature industry.
Coal companies want to ship dirty US coal on trains and barges through Portland and other Northwest communities for export to Asia, posing a significant threat to our region’s public health. Currently, six proposals would export a stunning 146 million tons of coal every year. This could require dozens of coal trains passing through Portland every day.
