Join Oregon PSR for the Power Past Coal Rally Featuring Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

May 7, 2012 - May 7, 2012
Portland, Oregon

Coal companies want to ship dirty US coal on trains and barges through Portland and other Northwest communities for export to Asia, posing a significant threat to our region’s public health. Currently, six proposals would export a stunning 146 million tons of coal every year.  This could require dozens of coal trains passing through Portland every day.

Join Oregon PSR and our coalition partners for the Power Past Coal Rally to learn more:

When: Monday, May 7th, 2012 beginning at noon

Where: Pioneer Courthouse Square in downtown Portland

Mr. Kennedy will speak out against coal export in Oregon and Washington, and Oregon PSR Advisory Board member Andy Harris, MD will discuss the threats to public health associated with these proposed coal exports. Take a lunch break and join us at Pioneer Square for Portland’s biggest rally against dirty coal!

Go here for more information on these proposed coal exports.
