President Obama's recent decision to take the Syria war authorization vote to Congress gives us a voice, but only if we act quickly. Congress is going to vote on this within the next week, and they need to hear from us.
Call your representative now at 202-224-3121 and urge him or her to vote NO on the authorization to use force in Syria. Find your representative, and consider making these points in your conversation.
No one has made a compelling case that these strikes will change the course of Syria’s brutal war or make Syrians safer, and many in the military are concerned that even limited strikes could provoke a wider war. There is opposition in Congress, but we need the power of the people to push it over the edge.
Call your representative now at 202-224-3121 and tell him or her why you want a NO vote on military action in Syria. You can also reach your senators at the same switchboard number to urge them to vote no.
Thank you for raising your voice for peace and diplomacy to impede the rush into yet another unwinnable war.
