Our nation's clean water policy should provide all communities with access to healthy, safe water by protecting the streams and wetlands that contribute to our drinking water supply.

Single Payer Health Care: Should Oregon Go First?

January 29, 2011
Portland, Oregon

Under a single payer system, all Americans would be covered for all medically necessary services, including: doctor, hospital, preventive, long-term care, mental health, reproductive health care, dental, vision, prescription drug and medical supply costs. There would be no premiums or deductibles, simply a dedicated tax that everyone pays into, much like Medicare.

When: Saturday, January 29th, 2011, 8:30AM-4:30PM

Where: First Unitarian Church (SW 12th and Main in Portland)

Workshops on the struggle for quality, equitable, affordable, universal health care from a wide range of social justice perspectives and opportunities to bring local, statewide, and national organizing efforts to your community.

Speakers include US Rep. John Conyers (D-MI), Dr. Margaret Flowers (PNHP), Katie Robbins (Healthcare Now!), Mark Dudzic (Labor Campaign for Single Payer), and more.
