Dear Oregon PSR Supporter:
Taxpayers in Multnomah County have paid over $2.2 billion for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2001. During this same time period, the budgets for health, social services, education, job creation, housing, libraries, parks, and other vital services have been slashed.
We want our county elected officials to add their voices to those from other communities in passing a resolution to stop the wars and re-direct the dollars to local priorities. We also call on them to send this message upward to all state and federal officials. Bringing the war dollars home is important for the health and well-being of our communities.
