Our nation's clean water policy should provide all communities with access to healthy, safe water by protecting the streams and wetlands that contribute to our drinking water supply.
Thom Hartmann will be talking about his latest book, The Crash of 2016. In it he anticipates another major crisis larger than the 2008 meltdown and argues that we will have an opportunity to advance democracy and human rights.
Friday, May 2nd, 7:00-9:00 PM (community tabling from 6:00-9:30 PM)
First Unitarian Church of Portland (SW 12th & Main Street in Portland)
Thom will talk for a while, then a panel discussion will follow. The evening will include local individuals and groups that are creating organizational models to reform and/or replace many of our unjust and dysfunctional systems, models that reflect the moral motive over the profit motive. Audience dialogue will lead to the post event Community Commons in Fuller Hall.
Join us for networking and a lively discussion.
Admission: $5-$20 contribution requested - no one turned away
