This presentation explores the March 2011 meltdown at Fukushima in Japan and issues surrounding the Columbia Generating Station nuclear power plant located on the Columbia River in Washington. It covers, in layman’s terms, the basics of nuclear power, its costs, and associated health risks. A letter writing action is included to promote public involvement.
This event, a project of Oregon PSR and Nuclear Free Northwest Coalition, is free and open to the public. Light snacks will be served.
