Tell President Obama to reject the Keystone XL pipeline. It poses too great a threat to survival and health.
PLEASE NOTE: As of Friday, March 7th, the submission deadline for Oregon PSR's 2014 Greenfield Peace Writing Scholarship has passed. “What can young people do to create a more healthy, just and peaceful world?”

The first prize winner will receive a scholarship award of $1,000, the second $750 and the third $500. Oregon PSR will host an awards ceremony on Friday, April 25th at 6:00 PM at the Ecotrust Building in Portland at which the scholarship winners will be honored.
Oregon Physicians for Social Responsibility is the local chapter of the U.S. affiliate of International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War, recipient of the 1985 Nobel Peace Prize for publicizing the dangers of nuclear weapons. For more than thirty years, we have worked to educate the public about the grave human health threats posed by the existence of nuclear weapons and the health effects of war. We are sponsoring this writing scholarship in order to encourage Oregon’s youth to consider their unique role in promoting a more healthy, just and peaceful world.
