2009 SPSR NATIONAL CONFERENCE

Prescription for a Healthy and Secure Planet

The 2009 SPSR Conference took place Friday, Saturday and Sunday April 3-5, 2009 in New York City at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. 

2008 Think Outside the Bomb Conference
Laicie attended the 2008 Think Outside the Bomb Conference in Boston on behalf of SPSR.  Speakers included Arjun Makhijani, Joseph Gerson and John Burroughs.  Learn more about the Think Outside the Bomb Conference here.

AMSA Pre-Conference
On March 12th, the Medical Alliance to Stop Global Warming, a collaboration of SPSR and the American Medical Student Association, led a workshop on Climate Change and Human Health at the AMSA National Convention Pre-Conference.

Focus the Nation
Many SPSR Chapters hosted events to support this national day of action on global warming! 

IPPNW World Congress 2008 - March 7th - March 8th, New Delhi

  • In 2008, a delegation of five SPSR members travelled around the world to attend the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW - PSR's international affiliate) World Congress. Learn more about our participation in this conference here.
