Collateral Repair Project Background Information:
CRP has been working with Iraqi refugees since 2005-- both on the ground in Iraq and currently in Amman, Jordan. CRP funds projects that help Iraqi families become self-sufficient through micro-grants and direct emergency aid for food, rent, clothing, some medicines and other basic needs. The project has given approximately 100 micro-grants. Current programs also include: Coats for Children, Computer Classes and Milk for Children. Another program “Heart-to-Heart, Hand-to-Hand” gives the opportunity for those that donate to CRP to communicate directly with families in Jordan.
CRP's founders, Sasha Crow & Mary Madsen, are local people who developed this program. Sasha is currently in Jordan until August, 2010, and writing a blog, which describes on a day-to-day basis their work with Iraqi families in Amman. Also you may want to look at CRP's website to learn more about Collateral Repair Project and the various projects—past and on-going.
