WPSR’s Environment, Justice, & Human Health Committee strives to create a healthy world for all by eliminating toxic chemicals and addressing other threats to human and environmental health. We especially focus on safeguarding children’s health, learning potential, and futures. By lending your voices and participation as health professionals, our combined efforts can help protect families, neighbors and communities from harmful environmental exposures, and move towards a healthy and sustainable Washington.
We currently concentrate our efforts on the following issues:

About the EJHH Committee:
The EJHH Committee meets regularly (usually once a month) in the evenings. The EJHH is co-chaired by Richard Grady, MD and Steven Gilbert, PhD, DABT. It is staffed by WPSR’s Executive Director and Environment, Justice & Human Health Program Coordinator, Cherie Eichholz. We hope you will join us in our efforts! WPSR tackles the pressing issue of climate change and its effects on health and the environment through its Energy & Peace Committee.
WPSR works on these issues in collaboration with, and as a steering committee member of, The Toxic-Free Legacy Coalition (www.toxicfreelegacy.org) (TFL).
WPSR also coordinates with Health Care Without Harm (HCHW) www.noharm.org in work encouraging health care’s use of products and processes that are preferable for human health and the environment.
