Radiation Exposure to Marshall Island Residents Is Subject of Documentary

Watch this and help Marshallese travel to the UN.

July 20, 2012

Few of us realize that the Marshall Islands, located between Hawaii and the Philippines, is where the U.S. government tested 67 nuclear weapons in the 1960s. Residents were used to measure the health effects of nuclear fallout. Now a documentary, Nuclear Savage chronicles this situation showing how a community continues to struggle for survival and dignity.  Join us where the WPSR office is, University Lutheran Church, 1604 NE 50th St. Seattle, WA 98105, to watch this award winning documentary and for a discussion that follows. Donations will be taken to help Marshallese travel to the UN Human Rights Council for human rights hearings.  Event starts at 6:30, film at 7:00. FREE parking on north side of building. Click here if you are unable to attend but would still like to donate.
