In 2009 President Obama declared that America seeks the peace and security of a world without nuclear weapons. Ask him to visit Hiroshima and recommit to that vision.
Time: 7:00 pm
Location: Tenney Park Shelter, East Johnson St. at the Yahara River. Enter from Sherman Ave.
This is a family-friendly event with refreshments, crafts and music. Please join us to remember those who have died in war and to reflect on a peaceful, nuclear weapons-free world. We'll have a short program at 7:30 pm featuring speaker Mary Doherty, with a special tribute to Dr. Jeff Patterson, longtime PSR leader and passionate anti-nuclear activist. At dusk, about 8:40 pm, we'll float illuminated lanterns in the Tenney Park Lagoon. Please join us!
