Tell Congress you won’t support phony chemicals policy reform -- only real, health-protective reform.
The nuclear weapons danger is real and growing: nuclear terrorism, proliferation, and thousands of weapons still on hair-trigger alert in the United States and Russia. Fortunately, there also are new opportunities to eliminate this threat. The New START ratified in December 2011 is functioning, with the US and Russia completing inspections of nuclear weapons facilities. As of early August 2012, each had completed seven inspections, and over 1000 notifications had been exchanged.
PSR Wisconsin hosts the annual Lanterns for Peace commemoration in Madison, Wisconsin each year during the first week of August. At this family-friendly event, we make illuminated lanterns and affirm a more peaceful, nuclear weapons-free world.
The 2013 Lanterns for Peace will held in Madison at the Tenney Park Shelter on Tuesday, August 6. We'll gather at 7:00 PM for the lantern craft and refreshments, with a short program at 7:30 PM. We'll launch the lanterns at dusk into the Tenney Park Lagoon. Hope to see you there!
How would you spend $100 billion? Over the next 10 years, the USA can cut $100 billion in wasteful nuclear weapons spending and use that money to fund vital domestic programs instead.
Help our diplomats secure a peaceful resolution to Iran's nuclear program. Oppose legislation that undermines the recent Iran nuclear deal.
