Barbara Gottlieb

Barbara Gottlieb is Director of Environment and Health at Physicians for Social Responsibility, where she leads PSR’s work on climate, energy and toxics. She is the lead author of PSR’s report “Coal Ash: The toxic threat to our health and environment,” co-author of “Coal’s Assault on Human Health,” and co-author and editor of “The Clean Air Act:  A Proven Tool for Healthy Air.”  A lifelong activist in the nonprofit sector, she has worked on issues including women in international development, community development both rural and urban, and food and nutrition.
