Celia Lewis, PhD
Celia Lewis received her MS from Bank Street College of Education and her PhD in Environmental Studies from Antioch University. Ms. Lewis has extensive experience in environmental conservation, education and public health. She has conducted biological inventories for the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and for the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies Center for Coastal and Watershed Systems, and served as Assistant Head of Public Education at Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History. Most recently she conducted fieldwork and analysis of the risks of indoor wood smoke to public health, and analyzed research on the potential risks of common chemical pesticides to public health. Along with Beth Weinberger she has formed the consulting firm, Thimble Creek Research, which specializes in environmental health.
