John Rachow, MD PhD
John Rachow, MD PhD is a medical doctor and also holds a doctorate in chemical engineering. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Iowa, Department of Medicine, with specializations in internal medicine, rheumatology, and geriatrics. His expertise encompasses the human existential threat of nuclear war, transgenerational legacy of the nuclear power fuel cycle, global warming, fossil fuels (coal and hydraulic fracturing), and personal gun violence prevention. A member of the PSR-Iowa Steering Committee since 2002, Dr. Rachow was the President of national PSR in 2011.
