Lisa Evans
Lisa
Evans is an attorney specializing in environmental law. Ms. Evans has been
practicing in the field of hazardous waste law for over 25 years. Ms Evans
began her legal career as an Assistant Regional Counsel at the Environmental
Protection Agency, Region I. Since 2006, Lisa has been an attorney for
Earthjustice and now serves as Senior Administrative Counsel in their
Washington, DC, office. Lisa is an expert on coal ash issues and has testified
on the topic before Congress in 2008, 2010, 2011 and before the National
Academies of Science in 2005. Ms. Evans is also the author of six books: five
nonfiction books on hiking, biking and kayaking in US national parks and an
award-winning non-fiction children's book. Lisa graduated from Cornell University
and attained her JD at Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California-
Berkeley. She has three daughters and lives in Marblehead, MA.
