Michele Boyd
Michele Boyd is currently the Government Relations Manager at Abengoa Solar. Previously, she was director of the Safe Energy Program at Physicians for Social Responsibility (PSR), where she educated Congress, the media, and the public on the public health and economic risks of nuclear power. Prior to PSR, Michele was the legislative director of Public Citizen’s Energy Program. She advocated for sound federal energy legislation and led the coalition to terminate the federal reprocessing program (GNEP). Before then, Michele was the Global Outreach Coordinator and Staff Scientist at the Institute for Energy and Environmental Research (IEER), where she promoted nuclear weapons disarmament and clean-up of the nuclear weapons complex in the US and Russia. Michele has a master’s degree in environmental policy from the University of Michigan and two bachelor’s degrees in biology and agriculture from Purdue University.
