Thomas G. Neltner

Thomas G. Neltner is senior attorney with the Natural Resources Defense Council who previously was the Food Additives Project Director at The Pew Charitable Trusts.  He is a chemical engineer and an attorney who took an unusual path from chemical, pesticide, and pharmaceutical manufacturing to state government to public interest advocacy with stints as an adjunct professor at Indiana University through many of those years.  A common theme has been his focus on chemical safety whether in the workplace, the environment, consumer products or, more recently, food additives.  From 2005 to 2010, he was a pro bono litigator on a number of successful lawsuits challenging actions of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency involving consumer products.
