Advocacy Training for Health Professionals and Students

PSR/Philadelphia will hold a training for health professionals and health professions students on various advocacy skills. These will include talks on direct action, writing Op-Eds, writing policy briefs, and speaking with elected officials.


Keynote speaker - Dr. Ruth McDermott Levy, director of Center for Global and Public Health at Villanova


Dr. Dan Wolk, a family physician in Bryn Mawr and a member of the PSR Philadelphia advisory council
Dr. Poune Saberi, the chapter leader of PSR Philadelphia
Dr. Walter Tsou, a PSR Philadelphia Board member and the interim executive director
Dr. Julie Becker, the public health program director of the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia
Tammy Murphy, the medical outreach coordinator of PSR Philadelphia
