Sacramento's 26th Annual August Peace Event, commemorating the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. There will be speakers, music by Small Difference, a Woman's Choral Ensemble singing for peace and justice, and the story of Sadako and the Thousand Cranes.

This event is dedicated to the abolition of nuclear weapons, a threat to all mankind. PSR/Sacramento is a co-sponsor and fiscal sponsor.

Sadako, her grandmother, her mother, and brother Masahiro were eating breakfast together. Sadako Sasaki was 2 years old on August 6th.
