From our air to our water to the products we use on a daily basis, our environment is permeated with harmful substances. Yet very few health professionals have been trained to help patients understand how to protect themselves from environmental toxins.
PSR seeks to train new doctors and nurses so that they are better able to protect the health of children and other susceptible populations by providing preventative environmental health guidance. Ours is a two-step process: train-the-trainer, then train the new practitioner.
Our first train-the-trainer lecture will provide an overview of why exposure to toxics such as mercury, lead, BPA and air contaminants from polluting industries are dangerous to health. Case examples and environmental health resources will be provided.
Sponsored by Physicians for Social Responsibility
This webinar is the first of three presentations. Endocrine disruptors will be the topic of the 2nd webinar which will take place in April 2016.
