Dr. Louise Reiss, Who Helped Ban Atomic Testing, Dies at 90
Dr. Louise Reiss, who directed a study that examined hundreds of thousands of baby teeth during the cold war and helped persuade the world’s leading powers to ban nuclear testing in the atmosphere, died Jan. 1 at her home in Pinecrest, Fla. She was 90.

WPSR Launches the Washington Nuclear Museum and Education Center
WPSR is proud to announce the launch of the Washington Nuclear Museum and Education Center. From Hanford to the Bangor Submarine Base, Washington has played an integral part in the government’s nuclear efforts since the early days of the 20th Century. WANMEC is the first and only wiki-based, participatory, online museum and education center on these issues. Check it out!
