And We’re Back…
Apologies to all readers for the longish hiatus of this blog. Many things have occurred since we last posted:
Blue Ribbon Commission Meetings:
Check out the brilliant presentation from the Southwest Research and Information Center and the incisive comments from the Alliance for Nuclear Accountability
Check out the presentation from the Union of Concerned Scientists and the presentation from Dr. Seth Tuler (who worked with us on a pretty awesome factsheet for us on radiation, health, and the Fukushima crisis)
Check out the comments from Tom Clements over at Friends of the Earth
Peter Wilk, PSR’s Executive Director, presented on PSR’s main concerns during the public discussion section. Read the comments we submitted to the BRC here
Check out the excellent presentation from the Institute for Energy and Environmental Research
The next BRC meeting is planned for December
2, 2011 in Washington DC. We’ll be
sure to be there and report all the juicy details.
American Public Health Association Annual Meeting in Washington, DC
Finally, PSR has been featured as a partner in the “Story of Broke” the latest video from the folks who brought you the “Story of Stuff” which discusses how our current budget ‘crisis’ is a result of misplaced priorities (such as a huge defense budget and massive subsidies to dirty energy, like nuclear). The video is truly awesome, and everyone should check it out.
I am one of the administrators of Fukushima 311 Watchdogs, please share with us your events and updates, thank you. https://www.facebook.com/groups/fukushima311watchdogs/140657092705187/?notif_t=group_activity
