Can Congress Prevent Cancer, Infertility, and Diabetes?

March 22, 2012

Some of the most intractable health problems of our time -- such as cancer, infertility, and diabetes -- have been linked to toxic chemical exposures. But our current regulatory system allows chemicals to be freely sold with almost no information about their health effects.

We think our regulatory system can do better. And Congress is considering a bill which does just that.

The Safe Chemicals Act (S. 847) would require greater safety of chemicals used in your consumer products, increase public access to health and safety information, and protect vulnerable populations like pregnant women and children.

Ask your Senators to support the Safe Chemicals Act of 2011 today!
