Help prevent chemical disasters!
May 10, 2012
Chemical facilities can be dangerous hotspots for accidents or terrorist attacks, putting millions of Americans needlessly at risk every day. Fortunately, President Obama has the authority to change that. Urge him to do just that.
Sign our petition today.
You're likely close enough to a facility that stores or uses deadly chemicals (like chlorine gas) to be at risk if something unexpected were to happen. Most people in the U.S. are.
Yet it is possible to make chemical plants inherently safer -- for example, by switching to safe, affordable alternative chemicals.
Please tell President Obama: You want him to use his authority under the Clean Air Act to prevent a chemical disaster near you.
