Tell Congress—defend the Clean Air Act against Big Oil!
May 3, 2017
In another blow to public health, a federal appeals court last week halted any final decision on the legality of the Clean Power Plan. The court granted the Administration's request to stop all litigation while the Trump administration reviews the Clean Power Plan—and attempts to do away with it, despite strong public support for the program.
The Clean Power Plan would cut carbon pollution from power plants by 32 percent by 2030, as well as cut harmful pollutants linked to respiratory and cardiovascular health problems.
President Trump, his new EPA administrator Scott Pruitt, and a polluter-friendly Congress are attempting to block or weaken clean air and climate protections like the Clean Power Plan. Thus, it's essential for PSR to make our voices heard in defense of the EPA and its health-protective policies.
During the month of May, we will be collecting signatures to show once again the broad support that exists for health and the opposition to the big-polluter agenda.
Sign our petition—and ask your friends and colleagues to sign too—to tell Congress to support full implementation of the Clean Air Act and the Clean Power Plan.
