Help Make Real the Pledge "No More Hiroshimas!"

July 21, 2011

We are fast approaching the anniversaries of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki (August 6 & 9).  This provides us with an important opportunity to express our deep concern about the dangers to our health and security posed by nuclear weapons and to take action to educate our communities about this urgent issue.

PSR members know that nuclear weapons are a liability not an asset and that the US and Russia still hold 95% of the world’s arsenals.

Check out our new interactive map of events.  If there is one in your community, please attend and bring a few friends who have never been to such an event before.  If there is not yet one in your area, consider pulling together a simple event.  We are happy to help with resources and ideas.  Contact asinha@psr.org for more information.

Please take just a few moments right now while this email is in front of you to use our easy online tool to submit a Letter to the Editor.

While we have provided sample text, your letter will be even more effective if you personalize it to make it your own. If you are a health professional, please identify yourself as such.

I’m “1 More 4 Zero” -- are you?
