Re: A willingness to lead

Last year, because of your work, we were able to start rolling back plans for the United States to sink billions in building new nuclear weapons facilities. These facilities, while appeasing key members of Congress, would have done nothing to enhance our national security, wasted precious resources, and sent a dangerous message to the international community. With your help, we can build on that momentum and make sure that any deal on the Federal Budget includes significant cuts to the Pentagon and Nuclear Weapons Complex.
President Obama is currently making a decision on a major policy that could set new limits on the number of nuclear weapons that our country maintains. With your letter to your senators and representatives, you have an opportunity to make sure that Congress approves a budget that pushes the Administration to make a bold reduction in our nuclear arsenal. Take action today to provide the political will in DC to engage on this urgent and important issue.
