Lauren Zajac, MD, MPH

Lauren Zajac, MD, MPH is a member of PSR’s national board of directors, and active in the PSR-New York chapter. Dr. Zajac is an Assistant Professor at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS) in New York City. She is a pediatrician at the Region 2 Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit (PEHSU) and the clinical director of the Children’s Environmental Health elective program at Mount Sinai Hospital. She also is an instructor in the Masters of Public Health (MPH) program. Dr. Zajac is a graduate of ISMMS and subsequently completed a residency training program in Social Pediatrics at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York. After residency, she completed a fellowship in Pediatric Environmental Health at ISMMS. She is currently a co-chair for the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) New York Chapter 3 Committee on Environmental Health. Prior to her career in medicine, she earned an MPH from the University of Michigan and worked as an environmental health advocate at non-profit organizations.
