Honduras has become the 50th nation to ratify the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, paving the way for it to enter into force on January 22, 2021.

This treaty changes the legal status of nuclear weapons in international law, and marks a historic milestone for a decades-long, intergenerational movement to abolish nuclear weapons.
Once the treaty enters into force, the legal status of nuclear weapons will change. It will be a moment that PSR and our partner organizations have been looking forward to.
