Please join PSR Iowa for an important live-stream event this Thurs. Morning, July 15th at 10:00 AM CT. We’ll join colleagues and friends from across Iowa calling for significant national investments in electric vehicles (EVs) and clean transportation infrastructure.
Physicians for Social Responsibility-Iowa will host Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller, State Representative Marti Anderson, Des Moines City Council member Josh Mandelbaum, Karin Stein of Moms Clean Air Force and myself discussing the urgent need for robust investments in EVs and clean transportation infrastructure as originally proposed by the Biden Administration.
Such an investment is essential to reducing air pollution, improving public health, reducing our Climate impact while creating good paying jobs in Iowa. The recent E-transit bus pilot program being run by the Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART) is an example of how these investments can reduce carbon pollution and improve air quality for all Iowans, especially Iowa’s most vulnerable communities.
Plan to join the Call for Clean Transportation Investments via the PSR Iowa Chapter Facebook page at 10am on Thursday. Questions? Please contact info@psriowa.org.
